Jude Law Talks the Direction of SHERLOCK HOLMES 3

Guy Ritchie brought to life the famous tale of "Sherlock Holmes" for this new generation, aided by the talent of Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. His sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" racked up $545 million at the worldwide box office, so a third installment is expected.
Law, who plays Watson in the films, recently spoke out about what he hopes the third film has in store for them and what the team has in mind in terms of a direction.
Law stated, "I think Warners want it and there’s a lot of want from us as a team. We want it to be better than the other two. We want to make sure it’s smarter and cleverer, but in the same realm."
He continued, "With a certain superhero world to service, Robert Downey Jr.’s schedule is a puzzle that would confound Holmes himself. The roadmap to the third installment hasn’t proved straightforward. It’s a slow process. We’re all busy. So getting us together to try to nail that has taken a little bit longer than we had hoped."

Jude in Florence for Eyewear Vogue Man and maybe a new collaboration with Pitti Man.....

"The meeting takes place near the Ponte Vecchio of Florence, at the launch of the campaign Spring/Summer 2013 of Vogue Eyewear for Men. The protagonist is Jude Law with the photographer Peter Lindbergh. I've 15 minutes for talk with him. I sit down next to him, I turn on the microphone of the mobile phone, I look up an...d... I block. The short hair and the gray t-shirt make him more "interesting" than the big screen, so much to take my word. Indeed, if I must say the truth, I just say a word: "Allora..." (means "so", but she said it in italian), so he says "I really like this word: alòra (he tries to say "allora" in italian).
Journalist: Thanks to Vogue Eyewear for Men, you have become the symbol of English male elegance. When you see yourself in the mirror, who do you see?
Jude: An aged man... Really. Of course, this means more experience, but a lot of years have already passed.
Journalist: The advertising campaign is signed by Peter Lindbergh. How was working with him?
Jude: Incredible. I met him other times and I really like work with him because he's a true professional.
Journalist: If you had to be forced to wear a pair of glasses, which would you choose?
Jude: Eyeglasses, I would not know, but sunglasses, what I wear (Aviator sunglasses).
Journalist: These days is in the italian cinema there is "360", and a character in the movie says: "Because in the life, in an istant, everything can change." Do you have already live this moment?
Jude: Of course! Things continue always to change. Maybe, one of the most decisive moments, was when I met the mother of my kids.
Journalist: The next year, in the cinemas will be "Dom Hemingway", and its story talk about a safecracker. In the preview pictures you're unrecognizable...
Jude: That's true, an orrible character, naughty and above all very ugly. I had to grease, drink whiskey and smoke a lot of cigarettes. It was very hard because it was summer and the movie was set in winter.
Journalist: The most beautiful picture that you went to the eyes?
Jude: It will be trivial, but that of my children. They was and are a wonderful emotion.
Journalist: Today you are 40 years old,can you forecast how you will be in the next 40 years?
Jude: I would say theatre, but it would not be true. For me the set and the stage are both important. What I am is thanks to Samuel Beckett because when I was a little boy, on the table of my house there was one of his books and I liked it, even if i didn't read it. It was a sign.
Journalist: What are your plans for tonight?
Jude: I must go back to Paris for work. But yesterday I went to eat in a tuscan restaurant, and this morning I did jogging around the city to dispose. Nothing has changed! It's like 20 years ago.
Journalist: Are you in love?
Jude: Yes..... of my work and my children (he smiles)
Well, I understand. The time is over. He stands up to tighten my hand, so I shoot me his hand and I give him a kiss. When could happen again?"

London's Young Vic Premieres Latest Short Film Project; Future Films to Feature Jude Law and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

London's Young Vic's latest in its project of short films inspired by a Young Vic production is "Bed Trick," a short film directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins inspired by his recent version of The Changeling. It is available to see now on websites of the Young Vic and The Guardian.

The project, which is organized in partnership with The Guardian newspaper and supported by Bloomberg, will comprise four short films, with Jude Law to star in the next one later this year, written by Belarus Free Theatre and Laura Wade. It will be followed by a film written and directed by Chiwetel Ejiofor, who stars in Aimé Césaire’s A Season in the Congo at the Young Vic this summer.
The project began in March 2012 with "Epithet," a short film inspired by Edward Bond’s Bingo starring Patrick Stewart, directed by Angus Jackson, written by Mark O. Rowe and filmed by BAFTA award-winning cinematographer David Higgs. It was followed by "Nora" in October 2012, a short inspired by Carrie Cracknell's A Doll's House at the Young Vic, written by Cracknell and Nick Payne and starring Hattie Morahan in the title role. Since its launch it has been viewed over 40,000 times.

According to press materials, the project offers a unique creative collaboration which gives exceptional theatrical talent an opportunity to work in the field of film. The brief for each film is simple: to make a short film inspired by a Young Vic show which is bold in its approach.  By pairing them with leading professionals in the film industry, theatre directors are provided with a platform to showcase their talent to a large international audience on the Guardian website. The films are edited by the Guardian's multimedia team and are hosted on both the Guardian and Young Vic websites at youngvic.org/YVshorts and guardian.co.uk/stage.

In a press statement, David Lan, artistic director of the theatre, commented, "If we have a policy at the Young Vic it’s to do things we’ve never done before.  We’d never made films.  Offering our directors a chance to make these short films has moved us all on in excitingly unexpected ways.  We have three physical stages in the Young Vic.  Our short films are becoming our fourth.  We are particularly grateful for the support Bloomberg have given us, enabling this brilliant new lease of creative life."
