Jude Law Talks the Direction of SHERLOCK HOLMES 3

Guy Ritchie brought to life the famous tale of "Sherlock Holmes" for this new generation, aided by the talent of Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. His sequel "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" racked up $545 million at the worldwide box office, so a third installment is expected.
Law, who plays Watson in the films, recently spoke out about what he hopes the third film has in store for them and what the team has in mind in terms of a direction.
Law stated, "I think Warners want it and there’s a lot of want from us as a team. We want it to be better than the other two. We want to make sure it’s smarter and cleverer, but in the same realm."
He continued, "With a certain superhero world to service, Robert Downey Jr.’s schedule is a puzzle that would confound Holmes himself. The roadmap to the third installment hasn’t proved straightforward. It’s a slow process. We’re all busy. So getting us together to try to nail that has taken a little bit longer than we had hoped."

Jude Law discusses the 3rd Sherlock Holmes Source Dailyblam.com

Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty—and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade, points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by one Professor Moriarty.
Mixing business with pleasure, Holmes tracks the clues to an underground gentlemen’s club, where he and his brother,Mycroft Holmes are toasting Dr. Watson on his last night of bachelorhood. It is there that Holmes encounters Sim, a Gypsy fortune teller, who sees more than she is telling and whose unwitting involvement in the prince’s murder makes her the killer’s next target. Holmes barely manages to save her life and, in return, she reluctantly agrees to help him. The investigation becomes ever more dangerous as it leads Holmes, Watson and Sim across the continent, from England to France to Germany and finally to Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.
During a recent press event for his upcoming thriller Contagion, Jude Law was asked whether a third installment of Guy Ritchie'sSherlock Holmes film franchise would happen any time soon:
"It's not up to me, obviously, but I don't see why not. I love working with Robert and Guy and the whole team. I'm a big fan of the books, and there's obviously huge amounts of material to dip into and use and be inspired by, so we'll see...I always steal a line that Robert said: If everyone else is as enthusiastic and happy for us to carry on doing it, then we'll probably carry on doing it."
"We went into [A Game of Shadows] with a little more confidence and swagger. We were very proud of the last one, but when you pick up a canon like that, it's hard to know how the world will respond."
Filmmaker Guy Ritchie returns to direct Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which stars Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan, Kelly Reilly, Noomi Rapace and Stephen Fry. The film will be distributed worldwide beginning December 16, 2011, by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
